ADVANCED SKYDIVE LICENSE TRACKS

The USPA B License is one of the most exciting milestones in your progression as a skydiver.

This internationally recognized certification opens doors to drop zones around the world, allowing you to jump in smaller landing areas, handle higher wind conditions (depending on drop zone rules), and join larger formation skydives with confidence.

With a USPA B License, you’ll enjoy:

License Privileges & Requirements

Holders of a USPA B License can exercise all the privileges of an A License, perform night jumps, and — with at least 100 jumps — become eligible for the USPA Coach Rating.

To qualify for the USPA B License, you must:

a. Hold a valid USPA A License
b. Complete 50 jumps, including:

At least 30 minutes of controlled freefall time
Ten landings within 33 feet (10 meters) of the target center

c. Meet one of the following aerial performance requirements:

Perform individual maneuvers — left 360°, right 360°, backloop, left 360°, right 360°, backloop — in 18 seconds or less, or
Successfully complete the planned formations on ten group freefall jumps

d. Provide documentation of live water landing training with full equipment, following the procedures in the Skydiver’s Information Manual

e. Complete all requirements listed on the USPA Canopy Piloting Proficiency Card

f. Pass the written USPA B License Exam, administered by a current USPA Instructor (I), Instructor Examiner (I/E), S&TA, or USPA Board Member

Earn Your USPA C License – Step Into the Pro League of Skydiving

Ready to join the elite ranks of experienced skydivers? The USPA C License is your ticket to advanced skydiving privileges, professional opportunities, and a new level of freedom in the sky.

C License holders enjoy all the benefits of a USPA B License, plus even more exciting capabilities.
With this certification, you’re qualified to:

Apply for a USPA Instructor rating (except Tandem Instructor)
Participate in demonstration jumps and special events
Ride as a passenger on USPA Tandem Instructor training and renewal jumps

To earn your USPA C License, you’ll need to meet the following requirements:

Hold or qualify for a current USPA B License
Complete 200 jumps with at least 60 minutes of controlled freefall time
Land within seven feet (2 meters) of the target center on 25 jumps
Demonstrate aerial performance skills, either by:
- Performing, in sequence within 18 seconds: a backloop, front loop, left and right 360° turns, and left and right barrel rolls, or
- Completing at least two points on an 8-way or larger formation skydive
Pass the USPA C License written exam, administered by a current USPA Instructor, Instructor Examiner, S&TA, or USPA Board Member

With a USPA C License, you’re recognized as a highly skilled, confident, and versatile skydiver — capable of teaching, demonstrating, and inspiring others in the sport. Take your skydiving career to new heights — earn your USPA C License and fly like a pro!

Achieve the Ultimate Milestone – The USPA D License

The USPA D License represents the highest level of skydiving achievement. It’s the mark of a true professional — a skydiver with advanced skills, deep experience, and full access to everything the sport has to offer.

As a D License holder, you’ll enjoy all the privileges of a USPA C License, plus complete eligibility for all USPA instructional and examiner ratings. You’ll be recognized worldwide as a leader in the skydiving community — someone capable of performing complex jumps, mentoring others, and representing the sport at the highest standard.

To qualify for the USPA D License, you must:

Hold or meet all requirements for a USPA C License
Complete at least 500 jumps, including a minimum of three hours of controlled freefall time
Perform two night jumps, each with a minimum of 20 seconds of freefall time:
- It’s recommended that the first night jump be solo and the second as part of a group skydive
- Both jumps must include verified night-jump training from a USPA D-rated Instructor, and be conducted under the supervision of an S&TA in accordance with USPA BSRs
Pass the USPA D License written exam, administered by a current USPA Instructor Examiner, S&TA, or USPA Board Member
